Warwickshire, a location where our Irish Folk Band could play for your wedding or event

Towns, cities and regions have an influence on the style of music, whether it is the 'English Countryside' feel of Vaughan Williams, the strength of Elgar's Victorian Malvern, or the skirl of Northumbrian Pipe tune.

Of Warwickshire, has been said:-

"  Warwickshire conjures up countryside images of an undulating farming landscape with mature hedgerows and an abundance of woodland and leafy lanes. Attractive red brick is a common building material typical of many villages and farmhouses and is even seen in much older timber framed Tudor buildings. Warwickshire is perhaps most famously known for Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, and the countryside round about is undoubtedly beautiful, particularly along the willow edged river Avon. Our musicians have often played in Shakespeare Trust properties, and other venues in the region. But there is much more to Warwickshire than Stratford-upon-Avon and most of the county can offer locations for very pleasurable walking, although the south has the edge. Warwickshire's area extends from north to south in the region of 50 miles and is approximately 34 miles wide. It has three major rivers, which are the Avon, Leam and Tame. Dairy-farming and sheep have been important, and flax has been grown. A wide range of manufacturing industries include ribbons, gauzes, other silk fabrics and thread, the main centre for these being Coventry; hardware, cutlery, steam engines and firearms, particularly in Birmingham; and toys and glass. "

There is no instrument the sound of which proclaims such vast internal satisfaction as the drum. ~ George Meredith
